Syringe Cover, also called as Syringe Sleeve, Needle Sleeve, Needle Cover, Silicone Syringe Tip, Medical Silicone Bellows, Silicone Syringe Cover, Custom Rubber Sleeve, Silicone Expansion Joint, which are designed as a protect cover/sleeve to protect against dust, grease, water, acids, bleaches, spatter and other environment element to keep equipment performance in medical device. Silicone Syringe Cover Bellows work as a good protector for Medical Syringe Needle Tubing, not only to make sure the baterial will not insert into the the syringe tubing, but also provide a soft tactile feeling let medical staff have better experience.
Syringe Cover is normally made of medical grade silicone. Usually the hardness is about 30-40 Shore A. Because the higher hardness, the more difficult to demold. And also 30-40 Shore A is soft and can assemble to the plastic syringe tube easily.
Silicone Syringe Cover has different working function: as connector, protector, hose and sleeve.
Silicone Syringe Cover can made by silicone compression molding, Silicone Transfer Molding, and liquid silicone injection molding. For simple structre bellows, silicone compression molding with good metal steel is enough; while for some complicated structure and can not demold easily, will need to choose silicone transfer molding or silicone injection molding for production.

Silicone Transfer Molding is a better choice for small pipe product, such as silicone bellow, silicone sleeve, cover bellows. For these small pipe hole product, need small and slim mold cores, if the solid silicone material on the mold cores is heavy, the mold core is fragile and will damage easily.
For Silicone Transfer molding, the material is putted into the pot rather than to the mold core directly. When the mold plate close, the raw material will transfer to cavirties through pot runner and sprues under high pressure and temperature. And also the rubber transfering will not effect metal piece’s location, and will not cause uneven thickness problems compared to compression molded syringe sleeves the material is place by hand.
Syringe Sleeve by sicone Transfer molding is precise tolerance can be less than 0.05mm. And parting line is smaller.
Mold Cost and Unit Cost:

Silicone Transfer mold is an economic choice compared to liquid silicone injection molding
Liquid Injection Mold conatains cold runner system, needle valves, and the mold structure is much complicated, the mold cost is much expensive than Silicone Transfer injection molding.
The mold plate mold core of liquid silicone injection mould is smaller than transfer molding plate. LSR injection molding can not contains as much cavities as Silicone Transfer have.
Material Waste:

Material Waste is silicone rubber transfer injection molding’s main defect. Normally the amount of flash is much larger than the product itself. There will be large wasting cured material in the pot.

Wide Temperature Resistant: LSR Silicone Bellows have large temperature range ( –60°C to +180°C.), can withstand extreme high and low temperatures. For silicone bellows that work in machine environment, liquid silicone is a better choice.
