Liquid Silicone Rubber is a  two-part platinum-cured silicone, which is a high-purity and non-toxic materials with lower compression set, lower outgassing, wide working temperature, highly tensile strength and highly tear resistance.
Injection Molding of Liquid Silicone Rubber, as one kind of thermosetting material, which needs intensive distributive mixing and needle & shut-off valves in aim to maintain LSR materials at a low temperature before it injected into the heated cavities & chambers for vulcanization. Liquid Silicone Rubber consist of glue A and glue B, which are controlled to be 1:1 ratio dosing device, and fully mixed by a static mixes and then injected into injection tubes. Liquid Silicone Rubber & LSR, as a transparent or translucent liquid silicone, which can be pigmented to gain any color requirements through controllers.

Properties & Characteristics of Liquid Silicone Rubber
  • Safest Elastomer: Liquid Silicone Rubber & LSR can meet all food grade and medical requirements or certifications. Good food, water and medical contact, safe applications. LSR is an inorganic nature, which is clean, plasticizer-free, tasteless, and is water proof, can resist oxidation and some chemical materials like acids and alkali. Liquid silicone rubber also resists to bacteria growth, which will not stain or corrode other materials and also burns to form water vapor and carbon dioxide, not halogens, not toxins etc. LSR products also can be sterilized by steam antoclaving, ethylene oxid, gamma, e-beam etc. 
  • Biocompatibility: Liquid silicone rubber has demonstrated superior compability with human tissue and body fluids. LSR can meet all required approvals like UPS Class VI, BfR XV, FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 etc.
  • Excellent Electrical Insulation: The presence of methyl-group in liquid silicone rubber make LSR suitable for electrical surface insulations. Insulating effects is better than HCR & solid silicone in extremely low or high temperature.
  • Mechanical Properties: Lower compression set, excellent pliability & flexibility, good elongation, high tear and tensile strength. Solid silicone tear resistance and elongation can't up to liquid silicone rubber materials standard.
  • LSR Durometer & Hardness Range: 5 Shore A ~ 80 Shore A.
  • LSR Temperature Range: -60°C ~ 250°C
  • Chemical Resistance: Like solid silicone & HCR, LSR also resists water, oxidation and common acids and alkali, and do not have fuels and mineral oil resistance. When touch fuels or mineral oils, LSR molded parts will swell. Fluoro liquid silicone rubber is noted for its good resistance to organic solvents and petroleum based fluid. Common fluoro liquid silicone rubber materials hardness is 50 Shore A ~ 70 Shore A.
  • Transparency: Natural transparent & translucent liquid silicone, can up to optical grade silicone, the best hardness is about 70 Shore A.
  • Pigmentation: Natural translucent liquid silicone can be mixed & pigmented to reach desired-color or colorful molded products.
  • Durable: LSR material can withstand extreme high and low temperatures,which makes them an excellent choice for components under the hood of cars and in close proximity to engines.
